What Is a Parent & Child Music Class?

A parent and child music class is a weekly group session where a toddler and their caregiver make music together. No sitting still or being taught. Toddlers learn by singing, moving, and playing instruments, while the parent joins in and shows them how.

For children aged 18 months to 3 years, this play-based approach builds early listening, coordination, and confidence around other children in a way toddlers can enjoy.

What Happens in an Orffie Explorers Class

Shared musical moments

  • You sing, move, and play beside your child, so music becomes something you do together.

Movement for coordination

  • Dancing, stepping, and action songs build body awareness and balance.

Instruments sized for tiny hands

  • Simple percussion instruments let toddlers explore rhythm safely.

A calm, nurturing space

The room and pace are designed for sensitive toddlers, who often need time to warm up.

What Your Toddler Gains

  1. Attention to sound and rhythm is the base for later learning.

A gentle first step into a structured class.
