What Parents Say
Real stories from families who’ve witnessed their children blossom through music.
Posted on Google Peggy Teo Ms Gail is an amazing music teacher! She is patient, engaging, and has a wonderful way with young children. I love that she keeps expectations perfectly tailored to their developmental age while providing constant encouragement. She is incredibly observant and empathetic toward my highly sensitive 5-year-old son, always seeing things from his point of view. He looks forward to her class every single week!Posted on Google Yoke Jia Foo My son started piano lessons when he was 6 with Ms Suri. She has been a very caring and patient teacher and allows him to play pieces that he wants to play and not just from the book. Ms Gail’s studio also hosts fun recitals every quarter which trained my son’s ability and confidence to perform on a public stage but also teaches the students about the different composers. Highly recommend!Posted on Google Grace Ong The class environment and session was a nice learning experience for my childPosted on Google Yanling Toh Gail's Piano Studio gives off happy, passionate vibes, even on an early Sunday morning. I went for a trial class, and was amazed by the founder(Gail)'s energy and rapport built with my 2.5yo kid, husband and I. During the session, she was able to keep my son's attention and incite his passion in singing and rhythm. In the class, she gave him the freedom of creating new phrases for songs. Overall, I observed a set music curriculum and learning framework for scalability, intentional design of assessment criteria for age appropriate skills. It was a pity the timeslots were unsuitable for my family. It was a pleasure to attend the class, and the songs/learning stuck through the kid's mind.Posted on Google Dipali Kheur A year ago, we happened to stroll past Gail's Piano Studio. Out of curiosity we walked in & were immediately drawn into its warm musical world. Ms. Gail has innate gift to connect with people (young & old alike). Her warm, boisterous personality makes kids feel welcomed & puts them at ease, instantly. The studio has a grand piano of which kids have easy access during their lessons. Encouraged by that walk-in session, we signed up for 3 months term. A year on we are still happily connected with Gail Piano Studio. After few sessions with Ms Gail, we switched to taking lessons from Mr. Vincent. Mr. Vincent has been guiding our daughter with the same enthusiasm as Ms. Gail (the various puppets that he brings along for each lesson, are huge hit with kids). The lessons always start on time, after each lesson he shares valuable feedback with parents. He also updates the student's progress via videos on whatsapp group to respective parents and Ms Gail. If the student shows interest, he lets them explore music outside the fixed syllabus too. For our 11 year old, piano practice has become one of her most favourite pastimes at home. The studio also hosts a piano party at each term end in which they introduce the students to one of the legendary musicians from history and their work with an audio visual presentation. Also each student gets a chance to showcase a piece of their choice in front of a live audience. We feel this is a great way to nurture the students & build their confidence for a performing art like Piano.
